CCI participated with Cherokee Investment Partners, LLC in the purchase of the former GM automobile assembly plant located in the City of Boisbriand, Quebec.

The 232-acre property is located at the intersection of Highway 15 and Highway 640, approximately 15 minutes to the north of downtown Montreal. The facility was previously used by GM in the production of Camaro and Firebird cars since the 1960's.

The site was redeveloped into a vibrant mixed-use urban lifestyle community that has served to revitalize the area and form part of the New City Centre. This includes the development of over 1,700 mid and high rise residential units, a lifestyle-oriented retail centre and town centre development containing over 1.2 million square feet of retail space, and a variety of other commercial uses.

Once Remediation was completed, CCI invested in a new joint venture which was formed for the development of the retail centre at Faubourg Boisbriand, a partnership with included, Kimco Realty Corporation, North American development Group and Cherokee Investment Partners, LLC.
